This couple was such fun!

At the rehersal... Goofing around.

wedding with handfasting

At the wedding the next day.

This is what the bride had to say when she first read the script:

"John is still sleeping (long night last night) but I love it, totally teared up the whole time! beautiful!"

And this is what their photographer said after the wedding:

"Hi Sherry,
Michelle and I were the photographers for Maureen and John last Saturday. Would you be kind enough to provide us a copy of the vows for Maureen and John? It is hard to maintain your professional composure when you are crying behind your camera. This was one of the most meaningful, beautiful ceremonies we have seen. We will certainly be recommending you to our brides and grooms."

And a few months later, we received this message:

I just got engaged, and I was a bridesmaid at John and Maureen's wedding. We really loved Rev. Sherry's style, and we were wondering how far you travel for a wedding...

Couldn't Wait One More Minute!

groom kisses his bride

This may seem like a common wedding photo.  But this picture was taken in the MIDDLE of the ceremony.  It was so obvious the groom just wanted to kiss his bride, that I finally asked:  "Do you want to kiss her now?"  He thought about it, and deciding to be "proper," he said "No, I can wait."  His bride then leaned over and kissed him!  SHE wasn't waiting! the bride and groom couldn't be happier

A Joyful Celebration! Wedding Celebrants and Ministers

Some wedding officiants, particulary those who are not Professional Independent Wedding Ministers, prepare for and conduct their ceremonies as if it were "a speech" and the ceremony itself becomes pretty mechanical.  These ceremonies certainly do not evoke the emotions or experience you are looking for on your wedding day. Other officiants are very rigid in what they "allow you" to say or do at your own wedding. When this happens, the ceremony becomes "a presentation" of their own beliefs and values.

These Officiants are usually really "affordable" for a reason...

A Joyful Celebration!
Believes your wedding is not a speech but a story.
And not just any story; but your story.

A good wedding ceremony tells your story...
And Rev. Sherry becomes your Story Teller.

This is a wedding about you; the Bride and Groom.  It tells the tale of how you came to be.  It tells who you and your fiance are and what you love about one another.   And it is the  prologue that sets the stage for the kind of marriage you want to create and uphold.

What is your story?

How do you want it to be told?  What words do you want to say?  What rituals do you want to perform?  Whom do you want to take part?  How will we draw in your guests so they will be inspired by your love story to renew their own commitments of love to one another?

Let's share our ideas together for how to take your story and turn it into your beautiful and personal wedding ceremony...

A ceremony designed to set you up for
spending a life time together.
