A Joyful Celebration! Associate Minister Rev Graham

Michigan Wedding Minister Reavis Graham

Meet Rev. Reavis Graham

While a Senior at Albion College, my sister’s friend asked me if I would be willing to act as an officiant for her wedding. She explained that they had already been legally married by a justice of the peace but, that it wasn’t a very satisfying experience and certainly left their respective families and friends feeling “cheated.”

The problem was that, with their limited budget, a courthouse wedding was the best they could do.

I really enjoyed performing that ceremony and being a part of what was obviously, a very loving union between two kindred spirits. I remember wondering what it would be like to be a part of something so special on a regular basis but, resigned myself to the fact that this was not the career path for which I had prepared, during the preceding four years.

As my life took its course, I discovered how often I was involved with weddings; first as a groomsman and then later, as a featured singer and finally, with my wedding band. I also felt the connection to my higher power becoming stronger in my life.

As I reviewed these experiences, I was reminded of how much I had enjoyed participating in that first wedding in college and I began to wonder anew if there was a plan for me to pursue this calling after all.

When I saw Rev. Sherry’s on-line ad I knew I had to respond and was delighted to find someone who was truly connected, on a spiritual plane and who felt a genuine, loving mission to help those who were requesting her services.

I know that this is where I belong – not by accident- but through providence.
