What Have We Been Up To?
Well, wedding season is rapidly coming upon us! My Associate Minister, Rev. Graham, and I facilitated a wedding rehearsal last night for an absolutely delightful couple, Kim and Mike at Hope Chapel in Sterling Heights. Kim and Mike are getting married Saturday afternoon. (Everyone is trying to convince them that rain on your wedding day is a GOOD thing!! Keep your fingers crossed for sunshine. Next week, we will have photos and their story here on the website.
Behind the scenes, Meliisa Lyons has been studying for her ordination to expand the many services she already offers to me and to A Joyful Celebration! By assisting me as an Associate Minister. Another colleague, Colleen Carter, is helping us in preparation for offering more Wedding Coordination services for our brides. (No, we do NOT want to be Wedding Planners! If you would like a full service, we have some great folks we can refer you to.) Our goal simply is to continue to make things easier and easier for our own brides before, during, and after the wedding.
We a seem to be called upon to support our couples more and more through pre and post marriage coaching and counseling services.This includes welcoming back our child and adolescent therapist, Rachel Leibovitz, after her sabatical from having her own first baby.
