But what nobody told me when I was a new bride is that there is just as much work to do AFTER the wedding as there was BEFORE!
First things first... Enjoy your big day! Enjoy your honeymoon if you are taking one. If not, I hope you will take at least a day or two just for yourselves. You may be in the process of moving and getting settled. You probably have some wedding gifts to sort through. And those thank you notes need to get written too!
But what do you have to do to make the marriage legal? (No, the copy of the marriage certificate your minister gave you after the wedding is NOT a legal copy.)
What about making your name change? What if you are not making a name change? Did you know you still have to file with Social Security?
How do you make your address change without receiving junk mail for the next million years?
